----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- that which gets me through the tougher moments Teaching is exhausting but, honestly, it's a good kind of exhausting. Mostly. There are bad days/moments, of course, and sometimes it feels as there is no on/off--you just always ARE. Always on, always prepping, always discussing, always lecturing, always answering questions, always answering emails, always grading. But mostly that's OK. I have some really wonderful students (and yes, of course, there are always some students who are just generally not wonderful, but that is life, right?). They're bright and inquisitive and really very funny and sometimes unruly and they make me laugh and they're kind enough to laugh at my jokes and I just generally feel such a sense of fondness for them and I hope that feeling doesn't go away because that feeling is what gets me through the tougher moments. 8:02 pm - 16.10.17
