Can you hear me now?

I'm reading Truman Capote's In Cold Blood for the first time.

It is, to put it as artfully as I can, fucking amazing. It just makes me want to stay up all night reading and re-reading. And writing and figuring out the writing.

Also: We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean the other night - it was an attempt to escape the heat, to escape the details of life.

Halfway through the film's first hour I found myself making mental work 'to-do' lists.

We left barely five minutes into the second hour.

Verdict: Incredibly boring and not enough Johnny Depp hotness.

Also: I have a co-worker who ALWAYS YELLS INTO HER PHONE LIKE THIS.

Surely, everyone she calls is not this deaf? Huh?

sounds: co-worker, yelling
words: In Cold Blood
i am: wishing Pirates had been better
