alright, ok, alright (part, the millionth)

i am trying to make this summer good for something, namely: me

after such a packed winter / spring i am trying to unpack my life which, then of course, means i'm packing back up

but this week, despite all the anxiety at work, was good.

indeed, i think it was good because of the anxiety at work.

let me explain: nerve-wracking days sent me teetering on to the edge of a deep, engulfing depression but as i wavered there on the balance beam of
my sanity i realized that with no school taking up my spare time (when it does, it acts as its own sanity-saving reality buffer), i now had time to do things for myself

so i spent my free time doing the following:

pedicure
reading
gardening
cooking
long talks on the couch with GB
yoga

the latter, especially, made me feel very good about myself and my place in everything. i loved, loved, loved the class and its slightly hippie environment and the permission to just be there, totally in the moment, totally in tune with both my mind and body. i could easily see this becoming an addicting habit and i hope that i allow it to become just that.

on tap for the weekend:

surprise birthday party for 0livia
gardening
reading
bike riding
flea market
hopefully dinner and drinks somewhere on a warm patio
