----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- home is home Sending out sympathy and good wishes to London. I've had a trying week, but something like today's news definitely puts it all back into perspective. I can live with my 'writer's elbow," broken coffeepot, rose thorn scars and lack of sleep. A small, quick update for those who've left well-wishes: Sophie is back home and doing much better. She's getting all kinds of medicine as well as an IV every other day - and she's being a super orange sport about it. I love her so much it hurts sometimes, I just want to kiss her little fuzzy, round orange head over and over. Especially right now. She also seems to enjoy the new house and has adopted my office as her new favorite place - which is fine by me. It's comforting to see her sleeping on my desk or at the foot of the bookcase. Trixie, the gray cat, is also doing well -- although I think the move has bothered her a bit. Still, she seems to like the clean open spaces of the new house, all of its new places to explore - as well as the idea that, even though everything else has changed, we are still there with her. Because home is home, right? 11:38 am - 07.07.05
