| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- all my friends are taking pills, why can't i? ooh, ask and ye shall receive...got my holiday check today....now i just have to exercise massive amounts of self-control and not spend it on myself...in fact I should probably start putting together a holiday shopping list...I've already planned to start my shopping the weekend of the 21st - the weekend after my oral report and short story are due so hopefully I'll be a little less stressed out. i would love to be a little less stressed out...i would love to stop clenching my jaw...i would love for the little skin irritation that flares up around my mouth (NOT herpes, mind you - yes, i've been tested) when i get anxious to just not be there anymore, ever...i would love to not get that jittery feeling, i would love to feel rested and calm...i would love to not always feel rushed and frayed and unbalanced but really i've done this all to myself right? no one forced me into grad school while i was still working full-time...and there's a part of me that keeps expecting someone at school to say something to the effect of enough with your half-assed efforts, it was your choice to do this so now deal with it. I feel like Rory must have when Mama Gilmore said "Suck it up, this is college and you're not 2."
