| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bienvenue à la maison It was amazing of course although I am rethinking how swell of an idea it was to travel with another couple for that long. One week would have been fine, at two weeks it became a little grating to adjust to one another's travel styles. It's fine, though. Wonderful experiences, especially in Madrid with C's best friend and his family. We already can't wait to go back, just the two of us. So much to still see and do. We are contemplating a London-Paris trip. Maybe sooner rather than later. We'll see. I'm still absorbing and processing and reflecting. High points: Tapas and then a city tour with M and his family and friends. Gaping at the Sagrada Familia. Falling in love with Paris every minute we were there. Crashing the downstairs neighbor's New Year's Eve party at our Airbnb. This is the energy I want to take into 2020. Low point: G & T's passports getting stolen when her bag was swiped at dinner one night, followed by three hours at a Madrid police station and, for them, another three hours at the Barcelona consulate to get emergency replacements. All in all a wonderful and exhausting trip. Now, happy to be home. 1:12 pm - 12.01.20
