----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tear off your own head Costello was great, super-rockin. He only played two ballads for the entire two hour set (which included four, count em four, encores), Alison and one of my personal favorites, I Want You. He looked great and sounded great and I think even the old biddy high rollers who didnt know who he was but had the better seats even kinda dug him. Reno was, well Reno was Reno - the low rent, bad fashion Las Vegas of Northern Nevada. Once we entered the Reno Hilton at 4 p.m. Saturday we didnt see the light of day until the next afternoon when we left the city. The casino was smoky and reeking of cheap drink fumes, my ears are still ringing from the clanging of slot machines and the $10 I put into the nickel machine netted me nothing but a watered-down rum & diet. We did run into Da Bomb after the show SK tooand that was fun, a bit of the Our Town contingent hanging out by the Winners Hall of Fame in the Biggest Little City on Earth The rest of the weekend was fairly quiet save the noisy and distressing NBA games and a Sunday night rocknroll show at the club. Lots of reading and relaxing. And an Animal Precint marathon on Animal Planet. ok, on to some housekeeping Notes to self: things to do this week:
Damn, what part of I checked female NOT male on the gender question did you not understand? Oh well, I cant complain too much. If Im gonna be a guy, Ill be John Cusack any day
